Laboratories

We offer the following Lab Facilities :

Training Front Office Lab Front Office Training Lab is used for training students in all operational aspects of the Front Office. This includes Room Reservation, Registration, Guest Relations, Telephones, Cashiering, Guest Accounting, Revenue Management. Training F&B Service Restaurant College has a fully fledged Training Restaurant, a Bar Counter, a Training Pantry and a separate Dining Hall attached to it where in the students are trained in all operational aspects.

Facilities and Features

Karavali College of Hotel Management has developed its infrastructure and departments in accordance with the hospitality industry norms. We follow the norms prescribed by the Mangalore University and All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. The college is equipped with the state of the art Practical labs equipped with latest hospitality operational softwares and e-teaching.

Teaching Aids

The Institute has modern audio, visual equipment, overhead projector, slides projector, TV, VCR for the use of the faculty and students. Sophisticated softwares for students to familiarize with the Hotel Computerization programmes are also available in the Computer Laboratory. Seminars, Group Discussions & Presentations are some of the teaching methods adopted.

Training Accommodation Operation Lab

Our college has a very well furnished Housekeeping department with different types of room arrangements where the students are trained on the cleaning procedure and other operational aspects.

Food Production Lab

The college has a well designed and equipped Food Production Lab to impart training in the following areas:

• Quantity Training Kitchen
• Advanced Training Kitchen
• Training Bakery Lab

Language Lab

Students are also given additional coaching on communicational skills by using latest Audio aided techniques by leading Digital Language Lab. Software Orell.

Canteen

Own in campus canteen serving food to suit the needs of students who come from various parts of India and also around the world.

Library

Karavali College of Hotel Management has an exhaustive collection of books by foreign and Indian Authors. Foreign and National Periodicals, News Letters and annual reports of Public and Private Companies are a part of this collection.

Computer Facilities

The Institute has a full-fledged information technology park, which offers access to databases across the world. Besides the latest computer hardware facilities, the infrastructure includes software packages generally used by students. Full time faculty support is available to help the students with their practical problems.

Hostel

Separate hostels for men and women students are provided under the care of a resident warden.

Classrooms

The classrooms are spacious, well ventilated and are equipped with all the necessary presentation facilities like LCD projector, overhead projector, and slide projector.
